Of course, this anime involves a warrior who is half human and half demon and came from a world where Kagome Higurashi went in a well which was also a portal which sent her 500 years into the past (The Sengoku Period), where it was filled with demons and other creatures in an ancient Japan surrounding world. Kagome had to take care of the Shikon Jewel, until a demon bird swallowed it. When Kagome fired the bird with an arrow attached to one of the bird's feet, the bird was destrpoyed and the jewel shattered into hundreds of pieces and they were scattered off all over the ancient land. Naraku has recovered about 90% of those pieces with the jewel to its near completion. If he recovers all the jewel pieces, he will become unstoppable.
Kagome lived in a temple shine in Tokyo, Japan since she was born and lives with her younger brother Sota, mother and grandfather. Kagome and InuYasha are the only living beings that can travel back and forth through the Bone Eaters well between the two time periods. Kagome can bring back any non-living objects back to the past, which include a bicycle, first-aid kit, food & drink, even a portable game system for Shippo to enjoy.
Inuyasha can be, or was seen in over 60 countries, including Japan, Canada and the United States, and the younger viewers love every minute of it, despite the violence, mild language and brief nude scenes.
The first anime series aired a total of 167 episodes and 4 movies. Of course Inuyasha is not at the end of its adventure, as Inuyasha the Final Act will feature the final 26 episodes Engilsh dubbed by VIZ, on DVD & Blu-Ray. The first half will be released on November 20, 2012 while the second half will be released on February 12, 2013.

lunar phases

Because Inuyasha is a half demon, his powers have a limitation. As soon as the phase of the moon is dark (New Moon), InuYasha is forced to transform into a human being for the entire moonless night. His hair also changes to black and is unable to use his Tetsaiga, as his sword will not obey him.
At first light, InuYasha's half demon powers return to him and can use his Tetsaiga again, until the next entire moonless night.
